Tumainii watched as her new companion suddenly started to pour with questions about how she felt and why she felt this way. She knitted her brow a little "One at a time." she said in a light humor "Yes, I was raised this way. I was raised to believe Paradise wasn't real." she paused for a slight second choosing her words "I am...unsure of what you mean 'how does it feel' " She finally stated. She took a silent deep breath "I suppose it feels normal, after all I was raised this way. The only thing I had to look forward to in my future was being able to care for my pack. I feel no different then you." or at least she assumed so "I just feel like a normal wolf." She looked forward into the night "And I think all wolves have dreams of their own, they are not all the same. I had those dreams to look forward to. Just because I don't believe in Paradise, doesn't mean I have nothing in my life." Although, ever since Terry had left her, and she had no way of returning to her old pack, the only thing she had to look forward to was the next day. After all she had no one to live for, only herself. And some days she felt as if that was hardly enough.

Lyall nodded. "I'm sorry. I understand now, though. I guess Paradise isn't the only thing in this world. Us wolves have different dreams." It might have not seemed like Lyall understood, but she did. In fact, it gave her a different view point of life. "We have our dreams and that's what matters to us." Lyall knew she was stating the obvious, but she did not know what to say. She understood so much of what Tumainii was saying, but she could not express it.

Tumainii fell silent for a little, was this wolf saying she truly never looked forward to anything in life other then paradise? Something that might not even be real. Perhaps following this wolf would be a bad idea after all, still, she didn't have anything better to do. Finally after reaching the point of the mountain she sat herself down. It was funny but from the top of a mountain it always simply looked like a very steep hill, it was just the climb that was difficult. And luckily this mountain didn't have many jagged ends or large rocks to block their way, it was just a steep walk. The air was more then just noticeably thinner though, but somehow high mountain air always smelled and felt more pure in an odd sense. "Well then, we are here, and the moon is still high and bright. What exactly are we doing again?"

Lyall smiled at the question. "Now, we howl at the moon, with the moon. We howl for as long as we can in just one note. That may not sound like much, but trust me, it will be the most beautiful thing you have ever done or heard. Of course, I'm sure howling is not new to you. You have probably done it a million times in your life." Then, she thought to herself. "What dream do you have in your life? If it's not Paradise, which I'm not judging you because of that, then what are you wanting to do with your life. Or am I just crazy for thinking that every wolf has to have something to look forward to?"

"You are not crazy." she assured shaking her head. It was true ever wolf and everything must have a purpose to live, other wise what was the point. Still, she wasn't sure what to say, in this point and time she truly had nothing except to look forward to the next day. "At this time, things have...transpired, into something I didn't want. And so right now I don't have anything to look forward to other then the next day. I suppose the only thing keeping me going is the instinct to live." she said honestly.

Lyall sighed and frowned. "Really? That's depressing and good at the same time. I can't imagine not having something to hold on to except looking forward to the next day. As an alpha, it is my wish to make all of my wolves happy and make their lives worth living. But I am sure that your life has not been the easiest for you, as it seems to me, but I may be wrong. I can help you. I can help you if you want me to."

Tumainii lowered her eyes a little, unimpressed. How could a wolf change the past? She can't that's how, and if she can't change the past then she could not help her. But she'd bite if more to humor herself then anything "And how would you 'help' me?"

"Let me be honest with you," Lyall began. "I do not exactly know how I can help you, but I do know that I want to help you. If you do not wish for me to try to help, then I can leave at any time right now. I can do it in a second. I'm trying to let you know that. I can head for Paradise myself if you wish. I long to go to Paradise, and if you do not, I am sorry for you. I do not have to help you one bit." Lyall turned her back to the wolf, then looked back for a second. "That's how I can help you."

The wolf's words struck her as odd and somehow she couldn't make sense of them. She wanted to help by not helping at all? Still, it was sweet of her to at least want to help. But Tumainii didn't need anyone's help and wouldn't accept it in the least. Her ears twitched irritably "I do not need help. I am not injured or weak." she said straight out "I am here to follow you to paradise, if more for my...curiosity, then much else. After we are done here tonight with your howling thing," she said lifting a paw and turning it in a circle "We should look for other members to join. After all, if you are this passionate about Paradise I am sure others have heard and are seeking it as well. There is strength in numbers. Plus the more minds you have the better" She sat up straight putting her paw down and curling her tail around her "However, I must ask you to not immediately tell the newcomers I have no knowledge and do not believe in Paradise. If it causes as much of an up-stir in them as it did you it would be time consuming."

Lyall shook her head. "I would never say anything to the other wolves that we find and join." She was very happy that this wolf was willing to accept her offer. Then, she thought about the howling. She looked up at the moon. They were at the perfect spot, and the moon was in the perfect position. "It is time," Lyall told the female wolf. "Are you ready?" Before the other wolf could reply, Lyall smiled and leaned her back, and she began to howl.

Tumainii raised her muzzle to the star dotted sky. She could help but think that she hadn't howled since Terry was with her. The memories flooded her mind as her howl grew in volume. She wasn't one who loved to cry, but in the dark and with her eyes facing the heavens above she allowed them to tear up for only a second. Her chest pounded as if her heart threatened to leap from her very rip cage. She let out another song, her howl twinged with a sad melody but nothing no one would think about. Her hears laid back and her howl died but she continued to look into the sky to think of Terry.

Lyall had stopped howling way before Tumainii had. She stared at the younger wolf. Looking at the wolf made Lyall become sad inside, but she tried to push it aside. Thankfully, she succeeded in doing that. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for asking you to howl. Well, I guess we did what we wanted to. You can't back to where you belong if you wish. I have Paradise to find." Even as she said that, she looked at Tumainii hopefully.

Tumainii looked confused "Why are you sorry? There is no harm in howling." she said tilting her head slightly "And was I not coming with before hand? I thought I was following you." she assured in her own way "But it is late, and a journey is best started on a full nights rest don't you think?" she asked. Since she had been woken up Tumainii was still pretty tired and she wasn't sure when the last time this wolf slept.

"Okay," Lyall said. "That's fine. We should rest. I have done my deed for the day. I will stay awake for a little while, but don't worry about me because I do that every night. You can go ahead and rest for awhile while I watch for a few minutes. Is that okay with you?"

Tumainii's tail swept to the side as she let her body collapse to the ground "That's fine." she huffed. But truthfully it made her a little nervous, she didn't like being watched by someone she hardly knew, but she was sure she wouldn't do anything. Closing her amethyst she fought to achieve a restful sleep, but her mind wandered back and forth between the up coming future and the wrongs she had committed in the past. The mountain air was cold but nothing she wasn't use to dealing with, it was almost a comfort for her as it brushed her silver coat. The smell of pines were just about the only smell that could reach this high up, after all flowers couldn't receive enough oxygen. It was hard but eventually Tumainii found something someone would call sleep, it seemed as if any small noise would bring her back but she's soon fall back in to the dark of her nightmares.
