(Pre warning: It's kind of sad lol, small amount of blood. blah blah blah)
The darkness howled as the young wolf steadily crossed the snow blown plains. His heart pounded and his muscles ached, but he knew he could not stop. He pushed forward, eyes closed against the stinging wind and pelting hail. Staying still meant death, but going back meant having to tell his former lover he felt nothing anymore, going back meant having to see the crushed look in her golden eyes, it meant he would have to tear the very heart from the wolf he had been so sure he loved, from her chest and rip it to shreds only to give it back and command her to fix it. Was it right to run? No, obviously not. However doing the right thing… to even think about it made his heart crack like spring ice under paw, perhaps he was just weak hearted, like his mind. Tears started to sting his eyes at the thought of her coming to their make shift home, and having to realize on her own, that he was never coming back. He knew that in doing this, karma would come and find him. He could not hide from it, but whatever karma felt his punishment must be, he would take it. “I…I’m so sorry…Amber…” he whispered, letting the harsh wind take his silent apology and thrash it around like a leaf “But I must find her again…I have to find Tumainii…” Yes, the very wolf he abandoned, he was prepared to spend the rest of his life looking for her. Why had he run away from her in the first place? In retrospect, it was a foolish decision. Maybe he was scared of her undying love and compassion, the way she looked at him with nothing but kindness and passion, the way he could do nothing wrong in her eyes. She gave him all of her love and he tossed it aside for some fling with a pretty sand colored wolf named Amber. The jet black wolf shook his head furiously, disgusted with himself for what he had done. “I will find you…” he whispered “No matter what it takes.” He looked up into the blizzard he so stupidly ran into, and within the snow he saw a vision of the silver wolf, Tumainii “I will find you!!!” He screamed over the wind and to the heavens, somehow hoping that Tumainii herself would hear his desperate cry. ~~ He couldn’t help but think that maybe the punishment karma had in store for him, was that he would never find her. After all, it had been at least three month, but he was still going strong. He followed every lead he was given went to every town he found and still nothing significant had come up. It was snowing again, nearing the blizzard point. He was in a mountain town, asking around and describing both Tumainii’s wolf and human form. As he entered the next shop his ears caught the ring of the door, and the scent of gun powder, metal, and wood hit his sensitive nose. It was a gun shop, surely Tumainii wouldn’t have come in here, still, he had been in every single shop before this one, and he wasn’t going to start skipping now. He went to the clerk and started to ask what was starting to feel like his catchphrase. He described her like he had to all of the others, and was ready for the shake of the head or a ‘no, sorry I can’t help you.’ “Oh ya, I saw her. She just came in here and bought a pistol.” He informed in a gruff and odd accented voice. “Went that way I think.” He pointed east, towards the woods. Shock ran up his spine, had he really found her? Or was it another fake lead? In either case he quickly thanked the man and ran off where he had said she left to. Once in the woods he morphed back to his wolf form and took in all of the scents around him. The snow blasting in his face made it hard but he caught the scent of wolf. Nothing in the world could make him forget her scent, and it was hers. He pushed his over tired limbs faster and felt tears of joy sting his blue eyes. “Tumainii?!” he called out, but he didn’t get a reply. He ran faster and faster expertly weaving his way through the pine trees. Her scent grew stronger and he noticed he was starting to run along her human formed footsteps. His heart raced, this was it! But the scent of iron suddenly hit him, confused for a moment his stride shortened but he quickly recognized it as the smell of blood. His heart started to race for another reason, he shouldn’t be smelling blood and the fact that she had bought a gun made his stomach twist. Before he knew it and before he even knew if he was ready he came upon a silver and cream colored wolf laying in the snow, next to the gun, and a splatter of crimson. Everything in his world seemed to stop. His ears no longer picked up on the howling of the wind, his nose no longer scented the pines, his body couldn’t register that it was cold from the biting winter, and his eyes could only see the wolf he loved so dearly, the wolf he wanted to spend his life with, the wolf he had given everything to find, dead. His mouth became dry and he felt tears stream down his cheeks of their own accord. “Tumainii…?” he asked, his voice cracking. Slowly, and with almost no feeling at all he walked forward to her body. She looked to be sleeping, but there were tear stains down her fur and she looked as if she had been through hell itself. He noticed a piece of paper trying desperately to escape from under her lifeless body. Taking it by the teeth and gently pulled it out and held it down on the cold ground with his front paw to read it. “I will always love him.” Were the simple words written there. The tears started to flow harder as the words on the paper registered in his mind that she had been talking about him, she had done this because of him. Taken her own life from the pain of his leaving. “Oh god…” he whispered laying down and nuzzling the fur on her neck. He stayed with her that night crying his apologies into her silver fur. The weather showed no mercy, howling harder and harder making the temperature drop with frightening speed. His body began to shut down and sleep took him one more time.

The darkness howled as the young wolf steadily crossed the snow blown plains. His heart pounded and his muscles ached, but he knew he could not stop. He pushed forward, eyes closed against the stinging wind and pelting hail. Staying still meant death, but going back meant watching his pack fall apart. It meant watching every single wolf die. Most importantly to him, it meant watching his baby brother die. It meant disappointing his baby brother forever. 'Oh, Maeklyn... I promised you that I would find Paradise. I promised!' He cared deeply about his brother. Maeklyn asked him if there was such thing as Paradise. He did not know the answer, but it was Maeklyn's dream to find out if it was real before he died. Tyren did not know the answer one bit, but he did know that he would tell Maeklyn if it was really there. Tyren had been walking in the blizzard for only two weeks. He knew it really was not a long time at all, but it sure did feel like it. He had so many cuts and gashes on his skin. Sometimes he would cry, and the tears would freeze on his face. His paws bled multiple times a day. Some days, they would not stop bleeding. The only reason he kept going was for Maeklyn. Tyren kept walking in the dark, cold night. It was very difficult for him, though. Suddenly, he fell on the cold ground beneath and, then, tried to get up, but it was no use. He just laid there until it was morning. ~ The next morning, the hailing wind was still blowing extremely hard. He stood up on his sore feet and began walking slowly, blinded from the snow. Even with the harsh wind, the sun was so high and bright. It was more comforting than it was the previous day. Tyren was determined to go as far as he could today. There was no time for whining or hurting. There was only time to move to the possible entrance to Paradise. Thoughts of Maeklyn rushed in Tyren's head. One day, Maeklyn asked him if there was a Paradise. Tyren responded by saying, "I don't know, Maeklyn. I don't know." A few days later, Maeklyn mentioned it again. "Tyren, do you remember when you said that you didn't know if there was a Paradise." Tyren nodded. "Well, before I die..." Maeklyn got interrupted by Tyren. "Don't say that, Maeklyn. Maeklyn shook his head. "Listen, Tyren. Before I die, I want you to tell me if there is such thing as Paradise. I want to know before I die. Do you promise you will tell me?" Maeklyn had such puppy dog eyes. Tyren sighed. "Yes, I promise." That was why Tyren had to go to Paradise. If there was one. Still. Tyren kept walking. He had to. Then, in a middle of a step, Tyren paused. Up ahead, he could see a cliff. It had to be the entrance! Tyren ran as fast as he could on his sore paws. It was not exactly that fast, though. After about ten minutes, he had to rest. He lay on the snow even though it was extremely cold. After a minute or two, he got back up and ran as fast as he could again. This time, it was little bit faster than before. He actually started smiling. Somehow, he knew that he would be able to get there. The snow was still blinding him. He was so close to the cliff. I would only take Tyren about thirty minutes to get there. As he was running, all thoughts were out of his head. He was just running. Within what felt like no time, he arrived to the cliff. There were many smooth rocks and spots where he could jump on. So, Tyren jumped on many areas as possible. After ten minutes, he was almost at the top. Then, all of a sudden, he jumped on a loose spot of rock, which caused him to fall down five hundred feet from the top, with the rock on top of him. Blood covered his body entirely. Many bones were broken and many bruises dressed him. "Maeklyn, I'm sorry. I couldn't tell you if there was a Paradise or not. I tried. And I tried for you..." Tyren lay on the ground dying.
(Sorry if the end was kind of sudden or cliche or something.) 730 Words (Also, these were made up wolves.)
