Without a second glance, the man lowered the bridge, unknowingly allowing the other wolves to enter the city as well. Xalym gave Riku an eye that communicated, "Kill him." She wanted this to be as easy as possible, and she also did not want anyone to know that wolves had entered the place.

Both females moved quickly across the bridge. Riku had edged closer to the man before suddenly shifting into a more bestial form. The man couldn't even scream before the silver and black wolf was upon him, teeth sunk into his neck and tearing back. Riku kicked the dead man over the side before shifting back, looking none then worse for wear. She wiped the blood off her mouth, grinning at Xalym. "Good enough for you?"

Xalym gave a pleased nod to the wolf and moved into the city. She pulled a silver hood over her head. "We need to keep as quiet as possible here. No trouble, and this shall be extremely easy." The city had low buildings, and every street reeked of unfindable secrets, lies hidden beneath the shadows of this city. "It is called the stone of miracles... Quite frankly, it will be a miracle if we can find it..." She turned to Riku. "Tell me, what do you need of the clan of Orochi?"

Maka adjusted her clothes, looking more humble as she straightened her dress and pulled her hair back. She kept an eye out so the two could talk. Riku herself scowled as several people eyed her and her silver hair, looking strange with the two other women. Most people saw a hooded scholar(Xalym) and a day worker(Maka), but she didn't seem to fit into a job. She glanced at the tower spiraling beautifully toward the sky in the town center, "Hunters from the Clan killed my pack..." She rubbed at the thick scar marring her otherwise unblemished neck.

Xalym's facial expression did not change from its rather pensive stare. Humans were strange creatures, and Xalym had learned much of their interesting wiles and habits. Being human lacked a definition to her because of the species's avid complexity. However, though humans often killed wolves, wolves did not often kill people. Most wolves hated people, but Xalym was not so hateful toward them. She was fascinated by them. She had lived with them for so long, and she was not ready to change the mindset now that she did not live amongst them. "When was this?" she asked Riku.

Riku closed her eyes to think. "Well... I was just about six or seven months when they killed everyone... And I'm just over three years now. So, it's been awhile. But I would recognize any Clan members when I saw them. They all have very distinct markings on their faces. Just near the eyes. The skin looks like snake scales a bit. I asked Maka and she said it was inbreeding that caused it." Riku spoke low enough that only Xalym could hear here. Maka tapped Xalym on the back quickly and it went unnoticed by the men approaching the small group. The leader was a man with long black hair in a braid over his shoulder and wore slightly high class but practical clothes. He, and the others, had hoods over their heads so you just see the color of their eyes in the light, but their faces were obscured.

Xalym's eyes darted to the leader of the group at Maka's touch. His clothes revealed a middle-class salary, but his demeanor and his company revealed how well he was hiding his real fortune. Why would he want to hide being rich though? A criminal? Xalym scowled at the man and said, "Hey, what do you want?" She acted disgusted with the man. All her wolf senses were tingling, and she knew how to walk the streets with a city beat, as if she had walked them long enough. Blending in was pretty important.

Riku shifted, almost nervously, eyeing the men and muttering something under her breath about their eyes. Maka glared at the men, instantly not trusting them. The leader smiled at her. "Feisty. My colleagues and I were just wondering what a scholar such as yourself would be doing with a worker and low-class scum." At the comment, Riku visibly bristled, growling lowly at the men.

Xalym noticed Riku shift beside her and knew that she was ready to act upon their insult, but she knew that the men had meant it as a taunt. "They're my sisters, got it? What is a cool guy like you doing hanging out with a bunch of low-life thugs?" Feisty or not, the only way guys like these learned anything was by making them think you knew what you were talking about, and that was exactly what Xalym was trying to do. If Riku went berserk on these guys, Xalym was not so sure that they would win.

Riku visibly relaxed, still glaring at the men. She gave a quicky, sneaked thankful look at Xalym, before turning back to the men. She started taking them in, trying to figure out all she could without causing a scene. Maka stifled a laugh, grinning lightly at Xalym's back. The man looked surprised for a moment before giving them a suave smile as he pulled back his hood. The man was pale with cool green eyes, but what stood out was that around his eyes looked odd. He was quite handsome but still, in a way, cold.

Xalym did not lower her sharp gaze at the man. Something about him was definitely off. Were those scales around his eyes? The skin there was parched but shiny. Xalym tried not to show her surprise and asked roughly, "So, what are you staring at? Don't tell me you like just googling at every girl your eye comes to."

Maka let out a muffled laugh. One of the men glared at her. She just cracked her neck and glared back. Riku snorted, glaring at the man. She gave a look to Xalym, occupied by a slight nod. This man was from Orochi. The man laughed. "I'm staring at a scholar helping two wolves. You and you're companions are under arrest." ((OOC: They don't realize Xalym is a wolf, because of her hood.))
