Secrets of the Forest [Dark & Anvil]

Dark turned around and glanced at her. He turned and walked over to her. He tilted his head. “Yes?” He asked his voice barely whisper. He could feel his heart pounding. Was he afraid? No that can’t possibly be it; this wolf posed no threat to him. But why was his heart beating so? He looked into her brown eyes. They looked so calm and… What was that look in her eye called? He had seen it before. But where? It didn’t matter at the moment; right now he had to calm his pounding heart.

Lyall shook her head only slightly. "Never mind, Dark. I was just-just thinking out loud. I didn't expect you to hear it," she said, turning her head, hoping that her voice was muffled. When she looked up at him, she saw a look in his eyes. He was almost gazing into her own. This made her turn pink her fur. She could swear that she heard a heart beat. Was it her own? Or was it owned by the attractive male in front of her. She knew those thoughts were not safe an adult wolf to think, but something about him made her happy, almost giddy.

As Dark looked into her eyes he took a step closer to her. Her gaze was mesmerizing to say the least, that and the look they contained was something else entirely. Dark felt he had to do something… But what? His mind was in a fog as he stared into her eyes. Though it pained him somewhat he looked away. “Sorry… Would you um…” He was unsure what to say when an idea came to his mind. “When night comes again would you please howl with me?” He almost wished that it was not dawn. He lifted his head and cocked it to one side.

When Lyall heard the question, her heart stop for a moment. It did not return when she saw him cock his head to one side. When she noticed she was not breathing, she finally let out a breath of air, and her heart returned to normal. Then, she smiled brightly at Dark. "Yeah, I would love to howl with you, Dark." She was thankful that her fur covered her blush. She knew it would take forever for night for night to come. She was not sure if she could bear the wait. She looked deep into Dark's eyes and she almost felt like she was swimming or even flying in the dawn sky. She laughed only slightly and repeated herself. "I would love to howl with you."

Dark smiled at her and stepped closer to her. “That’s good.” He said slowly as he walked past her. His tail brushing against the side of her body and dipped to her underbelly near the end. “That’s real good… Lets go get a drink. There’s a small stream not that far from here. And with the stream there’s bound to be food. Hopefully we’ll catch a deer. Be sure to follow my lead.” He said already tiring to be alpha.

When Dark's tail brushed against her, Lyall shivered slightly, but it was in a good way. She smiled brightly after shivering. She was absolutely happy to follow him to get a drink and catch a deer. Being his Dark's presence made her feel safe and happy. The worry of age difference was slowly leaving her alpha mind. She knew she did not have to worry one bit around him. If she was as happy as she thought she was, then she should follow that feeling and let Dark into her heart and her life. "Okay..." she said in a loving way.

Smiling Dark headed toward the stream. He started off in a run eager to get there. When he got close he got close to the stream he slowed down. He turned to Lyall and smiled coyly. “Um could you help with the armor?” He smiled as she stepped closer to him and helped him remove it. “Thanks.” He started to walk into the icy cold water his fur bristling as he stepped in. He walked out a bit farther than usual hoping to impress her. He lowered his head and lapped at the water.

When Lyall saw Dark walk in the cold water, she smiled brightly, but not showing it off. He looked very handsome in her eyes. She knew that if anybody looked into her eyes, they would see too things: Dark's reflection and sparkles shining brightly. She looked down in fear that he might notice, but when she looked up at him, he was not facing her. She soon felt a weird tingle in her throat, and found out that the feeling was the urge to speak loving words to him, but she knew she could not. Still, she wished deeply that she could pour her heart out.

Dark dipped his head and slowly lapped at the water. He turned to look at her. "Care to join me? I would love it if you did." He said and tilted his head cutely. He stared at her with a shimmer in his mutli colored eyes. There was something about her that made him feel like he should ... Well like he should do lots of things. Dark was sure some were impossible. Why would she even llet he do things like that... But he had an urge to nuzzle her.

Lyall smiled shyly at Dark. "I would love to join you." She wanted to say 'I would love to you join you more than anything', but the words refused to come out of her. Her heart was pounding even more as she saw his head tilt and his eyes shimmer. She walked slowly to him, even though she wanted to run to him and nuzzle him. But she knew that would not be able to happen. Dark was probably only trying to be nice and just flirt a little, but in her heart she knew that he loved her back.
When she was in front of him, she dipped her head down to drink a little. In the corner of her eye, she saw him do the same. When he lifted his head up, she did the same, and she ran her head into him. When she did that, she nuzzled him so sweetly and lovingly. After rubbing her head on his, she stepped back to witness his expression.

Dark looked at her and watched as she walked into the water. He was thrilled she was coming to join him. He dipped his head and got a drink. He lifted his head back up and stared at her. His eyes widened slightly when she ran her head against him. Blinking at her when she pulled away he could feel his heart pounding in his torso. After recovering from shock he stepped toward her and rubbed his neck against hers. He licked her ear lovingly and growled lightly in her ear.

Lyall closed her eyes and Dark rubbed against her. She lifted her head up when he licked her and growled softly in her ear. Then, she rubbed against him more. Emotions overwhelmed her, but she felt loved and wanted. She stepped back for a moment, smiled at him, and walked away from him, playing with him. She slowly walked back, still facing him. She waited until he ran after her, still smiling lovingly.

Dark could feel his heart pounded in his chest as she rubbed against him more. He looked at her lovingly as she stepped back and whined slightly from her backing away. He smiled as she began to walk away. He ran toward the tree and quickly put on his armor. He looked over at her then ran after her.

Lyall laughed softly at the younger wolf, but her heart skipped many beats. But each time it did happen to beat, it hit hard against her chest. She ran as fast as she could, trying to make Dark have to catch her. She liked playing her little game. Occasionally, she looked back at him and smiled.

Dark smiled and ran as fast as he could to catch up with her. It wasn't that hard... But she had the lead. When he got close enough he pounced on her. He licked her ear again and bit it softly. "I got you. Whats my prize?" He asked her his tail waging quickly. "I would love to win me my own mate." He meant to say it jokingly but he made the mistake of looking into her eyes so it came out more sincere and lovingly.
