A World for Hope [OPEN]

Serin smiled even brighter at Kion. "Good. I'm glad to hear that. I really am, Kion." He looked ahead of him at the town blur. "Sorry about the snow. Anyway, we just need to keeping going for now. I want to get out of here so desperately! I bet you do, too! Just think about the ocean! It's going to be amazing. It won't take too long."

[Kyuu]

Kion brushed against him as she darted forward then turned around to face him. "I agree completely! No more snow! Just sun and waves and sand!" She spun in a circle, sending snow flying under her paws, then stopped to grin at him.

[Anvil]

Serin smiled even more brightly that before. "Absolutely! No more cuts. No more piercing ice. Just the sun to melt it all away. It's going to be perfect, Kion. More than perfect. No more fears. Just serenity. Just you and me. We don't want to waste away our days. Let's go for it. This will be you need, Kion.... This will be what we need. All of our troubles will melt away faster than we can realize it."

Kion barked happily, tail wagging quickly. She grinned at him. "I can't wait! The future is so close!" She pranced forward cheerfully, returned to Serin's side, then repeated the action several times.

Serin laughed at Kion. "You're so crazy." He looked around him. "I wish we weren't here," he said as they continued their way forward, the ice piercing them fiercely. "It's quite annoying if you ask me." He paused for a moment, continuously walking. "If you don't mind me asking this, Kion, I was just wondering how old you are. I mean, if it's personal, then, that's fine. I just think that we should know each other's ages since we're going be with each other for a while."

[Kyuu]

Kion looked back at him, instantly regretting it as she tripped and went headfirst into the snow. She paused a second before pulling herself out and laughing. "Whoops. And I don't really know how old i am. Maybe two and a half???"

[Anvil]

"Oh." Then, Serin laughed so hard that he ended up rolling in the freezing cold. It took him a few minutes to recover from his hesitant breathing. "You-You're so clumsy. I don't see how can you live with yourself. I would be scared if I were you. Do you know how sad it is to constantly trip non-stop? Well, you should." He let out small gasps of laughter. Then, he looked more seriously at her, hoping she was not offended.

Kion smartly sat down to laugh, not wanting to end up in the snow again. "Yeah yeah. I do trip a lot. My friend used to chide me all the time." She laughed more at the remembrance of a scolding from Kana.

[Anvil]

Serin laughed even more. He was really happy that Kion was laughing, too. The wolf would have been really upset if she was offended. He could not help but express his happiness to Kion. "I'm really glad you're joining the laughter with me. I hope you know that." He looked away, blushing, but he was still laughing a little. Then, he laid down on the ground. "I want to stay here for a few minutes if you don't mind. It's kinda relaxing."

Kion blinked at him for a few moments before giggling. She stood up and casually walked over to him. She gave him a curious look before unceremoniously flopping down VERY close to him. "Well, that seems fine."

[Anvil]

Serin smiled at Kion. "Yes, that does seem fine, doesn't it? I've been walking so long that my legs ache terribly. I wish the pain would go away. My paws are extremely sore." He paused for a brief moment. "I know that I keep mentioning this, but I really can't wait until we get to the ocean. I can't wait to be free once again." He paused yet again. "May I tell you my story?"

[Kyuu]

Kion curled her head around to rest on her front legs, facing him. "Well of course. I want to know more about you, Serin."

[Anvil]

Serin smiled at her. "Well, I lived in a pack. I guess that's kinda obvious, though. It was a good pack. It wasn't perfect, but it was anywhere near horrible. I liked it. My parents were in the pack. They weren't the leaders, though. It was a normal pack, I guess. Nothing special. So, there was a tradition in my pack. Once a wolf in the younger generation turned sixteen in human years, he or she went off to find their own pack." He paused. "I loved that idea. I grew up waiting to become sixteen. Finally, my day came. Then, I went off by myself. I was absolutely happy. I had waited so long. Well, I'm not really sure if I want to see my family again. I guess I don't care either way. I'm more into finding new animals and humans. I'm not particularly a human kind of wolf, but I'm okay with them. I like the adventure of finding others." He paused again, smiling at Kion as he did so. "When I thought of having an adventure, I didn't think I would end up here. I think it brought the bad side of me. That's why I want to leave here. I'm usually a really cheery wolf, not to brag, though. So, I want to be in a cheery place. I don't like it. It's too cold. But there is one thing that I did good here." He stopped yet again. When Serin noticed that the female wolf was waiting he smiled and continued. "I met you. I knew I would find someone special along the way, and I did."

She decided after hearing that to tell a bit more about herself. "Well then.... I am a bit older then you did. I'm almost 20... Wow. My old pack didn't have many traditions, but we were also kinda... Dysfunctional, to say the least. I'll admit, I'm a bit bipolar myself, but I really really hate this cold. I'm more a warm and wet sort of animal. I do like humans, at least the bounty hunters, because of my dog blood." she blushed under her fur. "what do you mean by 'special'?"

Serin winked at her. "You'll find out eventually." Then, he paused. "I don't know. I mean, I end up in the middle of nowhere and think that I'm going not going to find anybody here. I freezing butt off. I get a million cuts and scratches. I beg for freedom. Then, out of nowhere, I find this really beautiful female wolf, the most beautiful wolf I've seen in my entire life. I feel happier than I ever have since I arrived here. So, Kion, when I say 'special', I'm talking about how special you are to me." He gave her a loving smile.
